Kathryn Lane
Kathryn Lane serves as Chief of Party for Counterpart International’s USDA-funded programs in Senegal, where she leads integrated efforts to strengthen school feeding systems and improve literacy outcomes. She works closely with communities, government partners, and local institutions to build sustainable approaches that support children, families, and long-term development.
With more than 25 years of experience, Kathryn brings deep expertise in program leadership across education, governance, livelihoods, and civil society. She has spent over a decade living in Senegal, working with USAID, local organizations, and international NGOs, to design, implement, and evaluate complex development programs. Her work is grounded in practical, locally driven solutions that strengthen systems and deliver measurable results.
Kathryn began her career as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Central African Republic, an experience that continues to shape her commitment to community-led development and long-term impact.
