Chief of Party, Senegal

Kathryn Lane is Chief of Party for Counterpart’s USDA funded program in Senegal, which consists of two integrated projects, McGovern-Dole Food for Education and Child Nutrition and the Local & Regional Procurement. The program started two years ago, and in the two years that remain, she will build upon the project’s success around a sustainable school feeding and literacy support, while also providing leadership to ensure that children, their families and communities are served while aiming to meet and surpass donor expectations.

Kathryn has over 25 years of experience that started as a Peace Corps volunteer (in the Central African Republic) and has since trekked across seven countries. She has lived in Senegal for over 10 years where she has worked with USAID and local and international NGOs. She has designed, implemented, managed, and evaluated a variety of projects in the education, governance, livelihoods, and civil society sectors.
