Agricultural Loans Help Guatemalan Farmers Fulfill Dreams

September 25, 2023

Cooperativa La Encarnacion, a microfinance institution in Guatemala, supports farmers with loans and investments for their projects, helping them fulfill their dreams. They use online platforms like Mimarket Agro for buying and selling products and have experts to assist farmers in improving their services. Counterpart’s Food for Progress program, in collaboration with MICOOPE (Federación Nacional de Cooperativas de Ahorro y Crédito) and with USDA funding, has made it easier to provide expert assistance to Guatemalan communities, particularly rural agricultural producers. Watch the video to see how microfinance institutions in Guatemala uplift their communities.
