Magda Avetisyan

Magda Avetisyan is an Armenian specialist with more than 20 years of experience in project management, performance monitoring, private sector development, training coordination and curricula development, database management, and coordination with government agencies. She has worked extensively for USAID and other donor- funded projects.

Her key professional competencies are in the areas of grants and project management, private sector development, community development, civil society development, training coordination, training curricula development, database management, monitoring and evaluation. Avetisyan previously developed expertise in sustainable water resource management, sustainable practices of water users at the core of the water-energy nexus through the use of science, technology, innovation, and partnerships approaches and community development under the USAID/Armenia Advanced Science and Partnerships for Integrated Resource Development (ASPIRED) Project. Her responsibilities included liaising with different international organizations, governmental agencies, employers’ organizations, and academic institutions, developing and implementing the projects on water energy efficiency technologies in rural communities of Ararat Valley to increase income generation opportunities.

Avetisyan also has experience working for various international organizations such as ME&A Inc., Cooperative Housing Foundation (now Global Communities), World Learning Inc., International Executive Service Corps, Human Dignity and Peace Foundation, Young Men’s Christian Association.
