Teresa Crawford

Teresa Crawford is the Executive Director of Counterpart’s Social Sector Accelerator and joined the team in September 2015. Teresa has over 16 years of experience working, living and studying in international environments (Europe, Africa, Latin America). Her strengths include strategy and business development in the nonprofit sector, program design and development as well as resource mobilization, social enterprise development and strategic partnership building.

During her career she has been privileged to work with hundreds of leaders & organizations to improve their ability to deliver on their missions on a diversity of issues ranging from violence against women in war to citizen engagement in oversight and accountability of security forces. As the Director of the Accelerator, Teresa will take Counterpart’s proven tools and unique approaches in capacity building to scale, reaching farther and wider to build the capabilities of the social sector to achieve their missions.

Before joining Counterpart…
Prior to joining Counterpart Teresa worked as a consultant to non-profits and most recently led the Sub-Saharan Africa and Europe team at Partners for Democratic Change.

Master’s degree in Non Profit Management and Policy, New York University
Bachelors in Politics with an emphasis in Peace and Justice Studies, University of San Francisco
