Katia Dos Santos Dias joined Counterpart as Chief of Party, Mozambique in January 2020. A native of Mozambique, she is a trained nutritionist and food engineer and has worked extensively in the design and delivery of nutrition, food safety, quality, health and environment projects in Portugal, Mozambique and – most recently – Sudan. She has 10 years of experience in the private sector and five years in the development sector. She is well-versed in managing projects in a multi-sectoral environment, as well as leading international teams. Before joining Counterpart, she served as Country Manager with GAIN Mozambique. Previously, she worked with the World Food Programme on the development of a micronutrient strategy through a home production and fortification project in Sudan.
