Jonathan Hill

Vice President, Strategy

Jonathan Hill is the Vice President for Strategy and brings broad experience in the international development sector at the organizational and project levels. Hill specializes in strategy, finance, operations, and business development. In his strategy role, he leads the planning, management, and measurement of Counterpart’s 3-year strategy to support communities as they work to advance democratic governance, women’s empowerment, and food security. He also leads the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning team and provides management support for Board of Directors operations and corporate governance matters.

 

Prior to joining Counterpart, Hill worked for 11 years at the global development company DAI and four years as the Founder/Owner of Hill Global Development LLC through which he provided short-term and long-term consulting. At DAI, he held positions spanning project management, business development, strategy, contracts & compliance, risk management, corporate finance, and project accounting. This included nine years based in Washington, DC supporting USAID, World Bank, and private sector clients, and two years based in London supporting DAI’s global portfolio of U.K.- and E.U.-funded aid programs. As an independent consultant from 2017-2021, he supported international development NGOs, companies, and projects to implement priority programs, improve processes, diversify revenue, and win new business.
