Vice President for Global Services, International Finance Corporation (Retired)

Until retirement in 2015, Jean Philippe Prosper served as Vice President for Global Services at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group. In that capacity, he co-led IFC’s global investment operations and advisory services covering all IFC investment and advisory activities worldwide, encompassing over 2,400 staff. He also oversaw IFC’s activities in fragile and conflict-affected states (FCS), a priority for the World Bank Group. Prior to that, Mr. Prosper served the IFC as Vice President for Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean (CAFLAC); as Director for Latin America and the Caribbean; as Director for Eastern and Southern Africa; and as Chief Investment Officer for Financial Markets covering West and Central Africa, sub-Saharan Africa, and East Africa. Prior to joining the IFC, Mr. Prosper worked for the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC) in multiple leadership roles. He is originally from Haiti.
