LIDA NADERY HEDAYAT

Hedayat comes to Counterpart with a wealth of experience in youth and women’s empowerment and gender equity advocacy, having served as Chief of Party for the Women’s Leadership Development (WLD) Program, a personal development, and leadership mentoring program that engaged over 30,000 young Afghan women.

When women are lifted, engage with each other, know they are valued within their communities, transformational change not only occurs but spreads exponentially,” says Hedayat.

Hedayat’s hire reinforces Counterpart’s long history of cultivating women to be agents of change in their own lives, their families, and their communities. “With knowledge, conviction, and skills, women become leaders who contribute to more economically resilient families, thriving local institutions, and vibrant and prosperous communities,” said Dr. Ann Hudock, President and CEO. “We are delighted to continue our dedication to investment in women with the addition of Lida to our team.”

In addition to furthering the GWIM program’s impact, Hedayat’s expertise and perspective in gender program design will enhance Counterpart’s suite of technical offerings across its existing portfolio of work.
