Lebanon has faced a series of challenges to its peace and stability, from a 15-year civil war to the assassination of its Prime Minister in 2005. Lebanese civil society has been deeply affected, and while civil society is vibrant the sector has been fragmented with intense competition and little coalition-building around shared concerns. The Building Alliances for Local Advancement, Development, and Investment – Capacity Building project worked to support civil society organizations across Lebanon and enhance their ability to implement grants.
