This APS solicits submission of concept notes to Counterpart International (CPI) requesting funding to implement creative, effective activities aimed at improving developing countries’ domestic regulatory environment in order to promote internet freedom (i.e. reducing censorship, surveillance, and other threats to digital rights).

CPI’s IFPA’s grants’ objective is to strengthen internet freedom in developing countries. CPI invites concept notes to conduct activities to improve the regulatory environment vis-à-vis domestic internet freedom. Grants are intended to aim toward seeing a law or regulation being adopted, changed, or implemented in a more-cyberliberty-friendly manner. Previous grants’ topics have touched upon online content control, privacy and data protection, cybercrime, intermediary liability, online copyright, net neutrality, and digital rights.
