Douglas LaRose Joins Counterpart International as Program Manager for Critical Work in Food Security

ARLINGTON, VA., — Douglas LaRose joins Counterpart International as a Program Manager, adding to the organization’s growing team engaged in the current food security crisis impacted a global pandemic. Douglas will report to Director Brian Dotson and work closely with Brian in overseeing the Mozambique and Guatemala programs, as well as develop new business efforts. He will be based in the Washington D.C. office of Counterpart International.

Douglas brings 16 years of experience in international food security, agriculture, livelihoods, natural resource management, governance, health systems strengthening, and community-based development programs, and new business development to Counterpart. His focus over the past five years has been on program development, program management, program quality, and partnership development with a focus on localization. He has extensive field experience in Ethiopia, Ghana, the Solomon Islands, South Sudan, and Sudan.

In addition to his extensive background, Douglas is also an applied anthropologist who has conducted research on climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, and indigenous knowledge.
