Headquarters Benefits
Employees working in our Arlington, Virginia Headquarters are eligible to receive the following benefits:

Health Insurance
Counterpart offers medical coverage through CareFirst BlueCross/BlueShield. Full time employees are eligible for health insurance coverage starting the first day of the month coincident with or next following date of hire. Counterpart offers an HMO and PPO option. Both plans also include prescription and basic vision insurance coverage. This coverage is available to our employees and their dependents.

Dental insurance
Employees are eligible for dental coverage the first day of the month coincident with or next following date of hire. Counterpart offers dental coverage through Met Life PPO provider. Coverage is available for our employees and their dependents.

Life Insurance Coverage
Employees are eligible for Life Insurance coverage the first day of the month following their hire date if the hire date is not on the first. This coverage is under Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company. The coverage amount is equal to two times the employee’s annual salary. There is no cost to the employee; the entire premium is paid by Counterpart.

Short-Term Disability (STD) Coverage
Employees are eligible for Short-Term Disability coverage under Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company.

Long-Term Disability (LTD) Coverage
Employees are eligible for Long-Term Disability coverage under Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company There is no cost to the employee; the entire premium is paid by Counterpart. LTD benefits begin 90 days following the onset of a disability.

Emergency Medical/Security Evacuation
Counterpart employees are eligible for coverage under our International SOS policy for emergency medical and security evacuations.

Retirement Plan
Counterpart offers a tax-deferred defined contribution retirement plan through The Hartford under section 403(b) of the US tax code. Counterpart will contribute 10% of the employee's base salary into the employee's retirement account, with no employee matching requirement. There is a two-year vesting schedule before employees become 100% vested in the plan. In addition, employees are eligible from the first day of employment to participate in Counterpart's 403(b) plan with pre-tax deductions from their gross wages.

Transportation Benefits
Counterpart full-time employees are eligible to receive Transportation Benefits for up to a $120 per month.
Headquarters Optional Benefits
Employees working in our Arlington, Virginia Headquarters are eligible to receive the following optional benefits:

Flexible Spending Account (FSAs)
Full-time employees of Counterpart can choose to use a health care and/or dependent care FSA to pay for qualified expenses not covered by insurance on a pre-tax basis. Employees can elect annually to have pre-tax deductions withheld in equal increments from their pay which are then deposited into a health and/or dependent care FSA for subsequent reimbursement as expenses are incurred.
The maximum amount that may be set aside in a dependent care FSA is $5,000 per year, and the maximum amount that may be set aside in a health care FSA is currently $2,500 per year.

Headquarters Work/Life Benefits

Annual Leave
All regular full-time employees begin to earn annual leave on their first day of employment. Employees earn 15 days of leave per year during the first 3 years of employment, and 20 days per year during years 4 through 6. This increases to 25 days per year thereafter.

Sick and Personal Leave
Counterpart offers employees up to 10 days of paid Sick Leave per year; two of these days can be used as personal leave during the year.

Special Paid Leave
Special paid leave will be granted whenever a regular employee is called to serve as a juror or witness.

Parental Leave
Counterpart offers four weeks of paid parental leave upon the birth, adoption or foster care placement of a child in the employee's immediate family. Eligible employees are those regular full-time employees who have been employed by Counterpart for a minimum of twelve (12) months.

Holidays
Counterpart headquarters observes US federal government holidays. In addition to US federal government holidays Counterpart provides on floating holiday a year to our staff.
Field Benefits
Expats (citizens or permanent legal residents of the United States and who are recruited in the United States to work overseas) and Third Country Nationals or TCN's (employees who are neither a citizen nor a permanent legal resident of the United States nor of the country to which they are assigned for duty, and who are recruited in the United States to work overseas) are eligible to receive the following benefits:

Full time employees are eligible for health insurance coverage the first day of employment. Counterpart offers medical coverage through CIGNA International insurance company provider. Coverage is available for Employee Only, or Employee + Family. Counterpart pays for 100 percent of the premium for the employee's insurance and 50 percent of premium for the employee's spouse and/or dependents. The plan also includes prescription and basic vision insurance coverage.

Employees are eligible for dental coverage the first day of employment. Counterpart offers medical coverage through CIGNA International insurance company provider. Coverage is available for Employee Only, or Employee + Family. Counterpart International, Inc. pays for 100 percent of the premiums for the employee's insurance and 50 percent of premiums for the employee's spouse and/or dependents.

Life Insurance Coverage (US Expats only)
Employees are eligible for Life Insurance coverage the first day of employment. This coverage is under Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company. The coverage amount is equal to two times the employee's annual salary (Cap at $400,000). There is no cost to the employee; the entire premium is paid by Counterpart.

Life Insurance Coverage (TCN's Only)
TCN's employees are covered for Life and Accidental Death Insurance the first day of employment. This coverage is under Petersen International Underwriters, Worldwide Insurance Agency The coverage amount is equal to two times the employee's annual salary (Cap at $200,000). There is no cost to the employee; the entire premium is paid by Counterpart.

Short-Term Disability (STD) Coverage (US Expats only)
Eligible employees who are unable to work for an acute period of time due to illness, pregnancy or injury, may be eligible to receive short-term disability benefits. The entire premium is paid by Counterpart. STD benefits are 60 percent of your weekly earnings and begin two weeks following the onset of a disability.

Long-Term Disability (LTD) Coverage (US Expats only)
Eligible employees who become disabled and unable to work for a prolonged period of time may be eligible to receive long-term disability benefits. Employees are eligible for Long-Term Disability coverage under Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company There is no cost to the employee; the entire premium is paid by Counterpart. LTD benefits are 60 percent of your monthly earnings and begin 90 days following the onset of a disability.
