Counterpart International Wins 2007 Tech Museum Award
Counterpart International (Counterpart) was the proud recipient of the 2007 Katherine M. Swanson Equality Award as part of The Tech Museum Awards for their Data Warehouse tool used in response to deadly crises around the world.
Presented by Applied Materials, Inc., The Tech Museum Awards honor individuals who are applying technology to benefit humanity and spark global change. The esteemed group of Laureates in 2007 was selected from hundreds of nominations sent in from 68 countries.
The Tech Museum Awards: Technology Benefiting Humanity is one of the premier annual humanitarian awards programs in the world, "recognizing and supporting solutions that benefit humanity and address some of the most critical issues facing our planet and its people" (Tech Museum Awards).
Each year, candidates are nominated then invited to submit applications, from which a panel of judges selects only 25 winners. Awards are presented in five categories: health, education, environment, economic development and equality. Each year's laureates are invited to a Gala, then inducted into the Tech Awards Network (TAN).
Counterpart's Data Warehouse allows users to address humanitarian needs by designing projects, acquiring donated items, managing their shipment and following up with recipients. Please read more about Counterpart's state-of-the-art tracking database.
