Grant Making |
Since 1993, Counterpart has managed $53 million in the following grant categories: institutional strengthening, community-driven development, advocacy for policy reform and NGO and public-private partnerships. In addition, grants to community foundations and corporations have mobilized individual and corporate philanthropy in support of meeting community needs.
Grant Making policies and procedures have been consolidated into Counterpart's Grant Making Manual, which has been adapted to diverse cultural contests, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Egypt, all five Central Asian Republics and the Caucasus. Skills for grant making are transferred to Intermediary Service Organization (ISO) partners so they can act as intermediaries for USAID and other donors.
