In collaboration with local partners Counterpart International's Humanitarian Aid program helps communities identify their needs and assets. Using a state-of-the-art logistics database, CHAPBASE, Counterpart acquires humanitarian supplies donated by governments, corporations, charitable organizations and individuals then transports and delivers them to their destinations quickly, cost-efficiently and securely. Our in-country teams and partners distribute the supplies and prepare follow-up reports that track the "life of a donation."
Since 1994, CHAPBASE, a proprietary database management system, has revolutionized the way Counterpart manages its humanitarian assistance activities. Using this system, we have the unparalleled ability to efficiently select appropriate recipients, document needs assessments, match needs with available commodities, track every item from the donor to the end-user, monitor end-beneficiary use and submit reports to sponsoring agencies. As a result, the database has become a critical part of our day-to-day humanitarian assistance operations; allowing us to more efficiently and accurately complete our work.
Counterpart also provides humanitarian assistance through the following funding mechanisms:
