Infrastructure Rehabilitation
Counterpart International implements infrastructure projects that build the capacity of our local partners, such as IDP communities, boarding houses, hospitals and schools. Counterpart has proven its project management abilities by successfully managing entire reconstruction processes.
Counterpart infrastructure rehabilitation projects range from installing new windows and heating systems, renovating bathrooms, kitchens and laundry facilities to providing access to clean water from local springs. Counterpart often complements such infrastructure projects with the distribution of humanitarian aid, such as medical equipment, supplies and outfittings, hygiene supplies, clothing, shelter items and food according to the needs of beneficiary community or partner institution.
Counterpart seeks for complimentary funding from different donors, including U.S.-based charities, service clubs, local commercial companies and government agencies, to provide comprehensive functionality to the renovated facility. Oftentimes the beneficiary community or institution itself contributes services and materials to get more tangible project results. In some cases, infrastructure projects are implemented through the community mobilization.
